I think we should show are human side in this tragedy. Instead filling our need to know everything about his death. This man was not just an actor. He was someone’s son, brother, husband and dad. Please let have a bit of diginity here and stop with all the assumptions of the cause of death. Let him rest in peace and more importantly let his family grieve in private.

I agree…. and thus NO JOKES and NO ASSUMPTIONS here!

Just a tribute to a fine actor and great father.

I’m deeply saddened. As tragic as JFK Jr and Princess Diana.

This should be a reminder to all that even the most famous could have something going on inside personally that we are dealing with and we should respect that. Heath could have very well picked the wrong day to combine the wrong dosage of medication. We should be knowledgeable about what we are taking. This sort of things happens more often than not. The only reason we are hearing so much about it this time is because he was a celebrity. We must educate ourselves on all medications – over the counter or prescription.

Let everyone grieve. Personally, I even think the fans deserve to grieve. I will admit to being completely devestated by the death. I adored him as an actor and truly admired him.

RIP Heath. You will be greatly missed. <3

I am very sad and feel sympathy for his family. He was a great actor and even though i had issues with the “whole concept and portrayal of gay cowboys” in Brokeback Mountain , i guess his role just showed what a great actor he really was. I send my sincere condolences to Michelle Williams and little Matilda.

I have the same drugs in my cabinet been on them since 04 when my mom passed. Doesn’t mean I am a druggie and it doesn’t mean he was either. God wanted another soldier for his army or Heath would still be here. We need to remember the great actor he was. God Bless His family

Heath Ledger had a beautiful soul and he blessed the earth with his smile and heart. Bless his family and keep them safe from the media frenzy. Who doesn’t have 3 or more prescription drugs in their house. Let him rest in peace.

It is so tragic that such a talented man had to die so early on in his life. He wasn’t just one of those hollywood stars that flaunts it out there. He kept to himself and loved his family as well as his young daughter. I am tired of hearing all these horrible rumors about him. I wish people will let him rest in peace, and let his family remember the life of a loved one without hearing the trash rumors going around. I for sure will miss seeing him on the big screen.

I never was the biggest Heath Ledger fan, but for some reason, everytime i saw him interviewed on a tv show, he always appeared uneasy and in some ways his eyes gave off hints of sadness. I can only account that the industry itself is to blame for what really killed him. The Hollywood Industry machine got away with this and look at what happened to Brad Renfro, Jonathan Brandis, River Phoenix. The Industry almost Killed Robert Downey Jr. These men are not bad people, the lifestyle that these men came into was bad. That’s all.

I must say I was very heartbroken to hear of this news. He has been one of my favorite actors for sometime. I cannot even put into words how his family, friends and fans must feel. I think his cause of death should be left alone and the rumors stop immediately. We should celebrate the life he lived and who he was as a person to stay strong for his family and friends. YOU WILL BE MISSED GREATLY!!!! R.I.P. Health

    Sincerely,
    a devoted fan
